January Sky by Gaurav Dhwaj Khadka
January sunset and January sky on a cold cloudy day, I went to a small hike with my friend Madhu around Changunarayan, Bhaktapur. It looks like a Black & White photograph but it is not, nature has the best artistic brush to paint a photographs.

A poem begins…

A poem begins… by Gaurav Dhwaj Khadka
Heaps of books
Clutter a study room
Cutting and pasting
A word of choice
Is picked out from the original.
This is how a poem begins
But not a poet
Who still has nothing?
Of his own!

Taken from book “Anonymous fathers and others poems” by Tek B. Karki

I think, I am also a poet, but a visual poet and you are watching my poem. I think, all photographers are visual poet, what you say? Do you agree with me or not?

The playground….

The playground…. by Gaurav Dhwaj Khadka
Children are playing at a dump ground of machinery tools. As the Kathmandu valley is growing with buildings, children have to risk their life to play at such a place.

Hope that every child has a safe playground!!

Good old days…

Good old days… by Gaurav Dhwaj Khadka
My early day’s photography, this was taken by Kyocera Yashica AF DX 35mm compact camera. I lost all my negatives but have prints, this was made from print. I was not that aware to save negatives at that time, because I was only 7 back than.

My granny and cousin at store room of my home at Malangawa, Sarlahi. Granny is now too old than what she looks at this photograph and now she use spectacles. And cousin is now a bit fatter than what she looks at this photograph and now she is married and has a wonderful 4 years old daughter.

Love Candy

Love Candy by Gaurav Dhwaj Khadka
As one moment melts into another….
I find myself,
Sinking deeper into your eyes….
Perhaps,
That’s what love is all about…

Light up!

Light up! by Gaurav Dhwaj Khadka

First photograph of a first day of a new year…

I hope this year I will do some more experiment with photographs and learn more things that I like. This year, I hope I will be able to play with 120mm camera and also with LOMOgraphy and as usual with some new digital camera also. I also love to take more photographs with “Through the Viewfinder [TtV]” photography and “CMYK” photography.

Mission I am working is on: to put 100000 photographs online, to do 10 group photo exhibition and 1 solo photo exhibition before I die.

1000 photographs online 99000 to go,
Done 2 group photo exhibition and 8 to go and
1 solo photo exhibition left to do.

In 2008, I will try to uplift my mission.

Normal light bulb hanging on and made with “CMYK” photography.

Enjoy the life!
